I'm Jürgen and I've been working for TomTom since 14 years. I only recently took on the Community Manager role. But I've been active on our forum since quite a while now.

Originally I'm from Germany but I moved to Amsterdam where I have a rich choice of art museums not just in Amsterdam itself but also in cities like Rotterdam, The Hague, Haarlem, Leiden and many more. My original education is in photography. And, of course, I cycle the little 10 kilometres to work. 🙂

Hi Jürgen,

happy to see you here. 🙂

Take good care of the TomTom Forums! I am sure you are treating my (ex-)superusers well, hope they are nice to you! 😛 If anythings up, just let me / us know!
Hi Everyone,

I'm the new Community Manager of de Kindertelefoon.

Our Community is a little different from the other communities on this platform, because it's only accessible for children form 13 to 18 years. That's why we don't have all the features. For example: No private messages. We want to create a safe place for children to ask their questions and share their stories with other kids.

I'm looking forward to see your tips and get new inspiration for our community!
Hi guys,

I'm Tiou ! I had the chance to meet some of you (or the other way around :D) during Innovation Lab + The Conversation Event last month in Amsterdam.

I'm working (since 2015 and with @Nicolas2) as a Community & Digital Marketing Expert for VOO, a belgian telecommunications company. Some of our missions as online customer care service :

  • becoming digital first, obviously 🙂
  • offering great customer experience and journey
  • promoting awesome content
  • creating a special relationship with our community and top users

For the curious folks :

  • Le Forum VOO (our community) : https://forum.voo.be/

Few facts about me : I'm a feminist, good food, wine & beers lover, and trying to travel as much as possible. Next destinations for 2018 : Spain, Canada & Hungary, among others.

Hi Suzanne & Tiou!

Welcome to the inSpired Community, great to have you on board! :)

Sorry for welcoming you so late, I just got back from my christmas holidays... 🌲🎅

@Suzanne_Kindertelefoon : I really like the story of your Community, keep up the good work! Even though your context is a bit different, I can imagine that reading other Community Managers' questions and experiences will lead to new ideas for your own Community.

@Tiou : I am quite impressed by the large amount of posts that you created on your Community. 🙂 Branded Template Migration will be awesome, you can change so many things by yourself... Not to mention all the new features. :P

If there should be anything, feel free to ask me or simply start a topic of your own!

Cheers,

Julian
Hi guys,

I'm Lisanne, the community manager of BookSpotters. BookSpotters is a slightly different community than most ones, since it's not a customer service community but based on advice and sales. Of books that is, we are all about books! (So for everyone who reads books, come talk about it!) We just launched in december, so we're very excited about what the future will bring :)

Looking forward to finding inspiration and tips here!
Hi everyone! I'm Ysabel and I'll be working on Digital Marketing to generate leads and improve inbound traffic. I'm very excited to be here 🙌🏼
Hi there!

My name is Stéphan and I just created an account on this community.

Today I started as interim community manager @ Eneco. My goal is to bring the community to a higher level. So expect some questions here 🙂.

I work as a freelance digital professional, with a background of 10 years IT and around 9 years Microsoft, where I was worked as digital manager. I was responsible for building the social platforms from the ground up for Microsoft The Netherlands. Now (since 2017) I help companies with their social or content strategy, communities or employee advocacy. Check me on LinkedIn or on http://stephanlam.nl.

By the way, I'm from Rotterdam. I play basketball and Ultimate Frisbee and I'm a serie and movie addict. I like to make photos and put them online. I love technology & social and you can subscribe to my weekly 'knowledge letter' (in Dutch) #voorjougelezen.

Looking forward to meet you!

Hi everyone, I've been lurking for a while but figured it was time to pop in and introduce myself. I've been working with the Sonos community for several years now doing customer support and maintaining the peace. I guess you'd say I specialize at getting yelled at and not getting upset.

I'm from Santa Barbara, California and do see the sun from time to time, not just the walls of my internet cave 🙂 Though I do lots of dwelling while gaming, reading and writing.

See you all around, and I look forward to some good discussion.
Hello Everyone,

Hi everyone!

My name is Pascal and I started yesterday as a Customer Success Manager at inSided!

I have over 4 years of experience managing SaaS solutions as a CSM, and have worked for many of inSided's customer on different projects so I expect to see some familiar faces ;-)

I look forward to get to you know you all and help make your communities even more succesful!

Hello everyone! 👋🏼

Keith here, reporting from Sonos HQ in sunny California.

I recently joined the Community team at Sonos and have been poking around these topics for insight into the the platform and best practices. Specifically, the "Getting Started" section has proven to be quite helpful in simply understanding how other companies use the platform and best practices. At the moment, I am focusing specifically on our developing SEO strategy and moderation workflow.

My professional background is predominantly in customer service and training, working for companies like Disney and Apple over the years. Through my experiences, I've learned that nothing gets me more excited than seeing passion and excitement in others. Plus, there's no better way to connect with customers than over a shared passion. If you have passion about something and want to share it, I'd love to hear about it!

My own passions include: international travel, electronic music production, video games, theme parks and just about anything dealing with coffee or chocolate.

I look forward to learning more about inSided and getting to know all of you. 😁
Hello everyone 👋🏼

I'm Fred and I work at TomTom as a Community Specialist and I support the FR community.

I come from Tahiti (French Polynesia) 🇵🇫 and it's been now almost 4 years that I live in the Netherlands.

I love to travel and to discover new environment and cultures. I mainly traveled in the Pacific Islands, as New Zealand, Fiji, Marquesas Islands and many more during my childhood and now I have the opportunity to visit European countries, which is a real chance for me.

I do cycle everyday, as well as a lot of Dutch people, eat haring 😋and I live in a really Dutchy place in Bussum.

My main hobbies : Running, snowboarding (in indoor skihalle during the Summer), skateboarding, tennis playing and Samoan fireknife dancing.

I'm looking forward to meet you during the coming Innovation lab session.
Hi Everyone,

Since I've been visiting the InSpired community for a short while I figured it was time for a proper introduction! So, hi there everyone! I'm Thomas the Jr. Community Manager of the Simyo Forum. I've been with Simyo for little over a year now and recently I got the opportunity to become (Jr.) Community Manager.

As I started off studying to become an Creative Arts teacher, it's not surprising that I enjoy (almost) all things creative. From photography and film to (small scale) linography or reading, and from visiting musea or art festivals. I also enjoy watching series and movies on many subjects. I really enjoy spending time in nature, altough I don't take enough time to do so.

It's safe to say that I'm very curious and like to get involved.

As is the Silver Surfer, I am as well looking forward to the innovation lab this afternoon. See (some of) you there!

Greetings,

Thomas

Hi all,

I'm Koen Sterken (pronounced almost like Racoon without the Ra). I work for Infoland - a dutch software company - as a product owner. In my free time I spend my days playing and listening to music, and going to the movies.

We've started our Insided community on the 12th of juni this year, and wow, what a ride it has been already. It is great to communicate to our users directly, without the hustle of scheduling meetings and arranging stuff.

I've registered to this community to learn how Insided uses their software themselves, and to see if there is any information on this community regarding embedding the community in other software solutions.

Koen
Hi Koen,

Welcome to the InSpired forum. 😃 I really like your explanation on the pronounciation of your name haha!

There's plenty content on here to go around and lots of great ideas for new (content and) ideas on the ideation board.

Greetings,

Thomas

Hi @Koen Sterken,

happy to hear that you've joined our community! Indeed, it was also exciting for me to see how the launch of your community was received. And I am very pleased to see there is so much activity already, and not just from customers but also from colleagues within the company!

Should you miss something specific, or should you have a question or a worry, just start a topic and let us know. We have many experts here, and in the end this is also one of the reasons this community is here for of course. ;)

Cheers,

Julian

Hi everyone!

My name is Remco (internal nickname: Goldilocks, don't ask), and I recently started working at inSided in the Marketing team. Quite a broad spectrum of responsibilities, but on the inSpired community I will mostly be trying to help you make the most of your community/product.

30 y/o, just had a 2nd kid. Enjoy most things sports-related and have a real addiction going when it comes to trying really difficult cooking recipes.

Met some of you at the last inSpired event, and will hopefully meet the ones I didn't see soon!

Cheers,

Remco
Hey Remco,

Welcome to the commity! 🙂 You know you've got us curious now.....Goldilocks? Hopefully this isn't related to you ambitions as a chef. :D

It's mostly @Shane1 's doing. Not related to food, more or less to my 'curly' hair 🙂
Hi guys :)

This is Moscow's calling:)

I'm Rodion from Kaspersky Lab. Nice to join the community of community managers, bkz I've never had such experience 🙂

I work for Kaspersky since 2011. I manage Kaspersky Lab official forum since 2013. I have a lot of different tasks but the community: knowledge management, trainings of support teams, Social Media support etc.). But community is a big part of my life (sometimes toooo big - I know you understand me :)). So probably I'll be a bit useful for somebody here 🙂 Of course, I have to learn InSided before with your great help, I hope :)

Hi Rodion,

welcome to our Community, great to have you on board! 🖐️️ Already saw you've found the ideation category! 😅

Also great that you have quite some experience with communities before working on an inSided platform - it is always good to hear other opinions and experiences...

So if you have a question, or if you see that you have something helpful to add, you will know what to do! 😉

Cheers,

Julian
