Hi community peeps! For those of you who have both Gainsight PX and Digital Hub, are you using any engagements (knowledge bots, sliders, etc.) to drive people from your platform/website to your community? If so, what are some of the engagement ideas you have used that seem to draw folks in?For those of you without PX - we are looking to drive more overall engagement within our community despite the time of year. Do you have any general engagement activities that you’ve seen work well, or that you get a good response to from community members? Thanks in advance :)
Hi,Just want to share a few problems with DH or CC community from a moderator view. When I want to remove topic (because it’s spam) I cannot do it directly (as for the posts - just hit the spam button, and BAM! user is immediately banned and his post is not visible). I always have to delete topic manually, click on the user to access his userpage and ban him manually - such a waste of clicks and time. The next thing - most important one for me at least. When you’ll click on a username (from CP of course) it takes one eternity to load… There is no problem loading topics in multiple tabs, but there is ALWAYS massive problem loading user profile overview. Even when I run loading few user overviews in multiple tabs (to “save” my time) - sometimes I’ll get 503 error. Also there should be some “SPAM” button insider user overview - to BAN user instantly and remove all his posts and topics (I’ve probably mentioned this in some of my other posts) - but it’ll save time A LOT, because I don’t have
Recently a new feature was rolled out that meant, if the search bar was used within a category, a tag was added to the search that ensure that the search results only show topics from that category. This is good. I notice that the same functionality doesn’t exist for groups. When I use the search bar in a group, it takes me to search but it just looks at my search term. There is no filtering for groups. There isn’t even an option to select groups or a specific group in the search results. This is a limitation. We use a hidden group for staff members. If they use the search bar in that group, I want the search results to exclude anything outside of that group. Am I correct in thinking this functionality is missing?
Standard editing time for most primary user roles is 60 minutes. You can change this for users via custom user roles. My question is what does a user see after the 60 minutes has passed? Do they still see the Edit uption in the *** dots menu on their posts? Or should it be hidden when it’s not available?
I would like to add a hyperlink to our error message. does anyone know how to do this? see message below. I would like to make “here” go to the login page. thanks. Sorry, but you do not have access to this page. If you are not logged in, you can login here. If you are already logged in, then you may have found a page that is accessible only to Benchling customers. Please reach out to email@example.com. We're here to help!
Hi folks.I’m wondering if there is any way to add a URL to an automated email that includes a unique link for that user. Maybe insert the user ID in there, like myURL/page?userid=[userId]. That sort of thing.I’m aware of the inSidedData object, but I suspect that won’t work in an email. So would the way be to link to a custom page on the community and do a redirect from there?Basically, I’d like to have a call to action in the email, that sends a notification to our support team, and obviously they need to know who the notification came from.Any thoughts or suggestions welcomed,CheersMark
Hello! I am looking to set automated triggers for the following groups:1. Users who registered 1 week ago and have not contributed yet2. Users who performed their last activity 3 months ago 3. Users who performed their last activity 2 weeks agoI have a few questions for each group:1. The trigger is listed as "registered after ___ days", does this mean when I create this email, everyone who registered after this many days will be contacted right away? Will this include users who have contributed already? 3. Will all users who performed their last activity 2 weeks ago be contacted right away after constructing this email? If so, does that mean users who I want to setup the email for after 3 months also be contacted?Thank you!
I really like this idea - community health index - wish something like this was built into the system.I looked over this document from Lithium and was hoping there is something similar with InSided.Community Health Index for Online Communities is there something I can show my management team?
We are wanting to “Spot Light” some of our community members in our newsletter that we send out once a month. But we are wanting to use the weekly leaderboard. Having a hard time reporting on the weekly leaderboard. How do we pull a report on the admin side for weekly leaderboard? Is this even possible or do we have to make a task to look and manually report weekly of the leaderboard?
Hi All - I’ve been asked to gate our community. All content will need to be visible only after you login. However, I’d still like to have the content indexed by google. I’ve had multiple conversations about this and no one has a solution. I believe I’ve seen forums where you could see the question in google, but had to login to see the answer. Am I dreaming? Or is this possible? If so, anyone know how?
Hi Community folks! We’ve been exploring how we can use login gating certain parts of our Community to encourage people to Register their accounts (which is very simple, they just login through SSO of our platform), and subsequently login more frequently so we have better insights and analytics. We also want to protect certain information from public visibility or make it exclusive to customers to see.Would be very interested in how others have tackled this? What areas did you find more effective to put as a login gate? What are the things to be cautious of? We don’t want to add unnecessary friction to customers’ experience of finding info they need Is there a way to make the questions searchable publicly, but then to open/ read the full topic you need to sign-in first?Ultimately it’s about getting people from not logged in → passive lurkers → engaged likers → conversation participantsThanks in advance! Happy to share more on what we’re trying to achieve.
My being a data nerd only extends to steps after the data has made its way into a data warehouse, so I’m admittedly a data idiot when it comes to this stuff. And I need help.My data team is asking me if “Insided analytics has a good way to push data to a Google Cloud Storage bucket” and all the searching in the world is not getting me answers. We’re basically at the point where we know we need to get our data out of the platform and into our warehouse, but our warehouse is also shiny brand new and the team is very backlogged, so if you want something done you have to help research as much as you can.I suppose the actual storage location of data doesn’t matter as much as the “good way to push data” bit. Any ideas? Resources?HELP!
I am trying to use the user API to get the sso info. However when I was using the “Fetches all users” API, some of the users have null values in the insided_sso_customeruid field. I used the “Find User by field / value” API to search for the exact same user again and found this user does have values in the sso field. I am wondering what’s the reason that those fields are not consistent through two endpoints? This problem doesn’t apply to all users and most of the users have the same values in the insided_sso_customeruid field and the sso field.
We are trying to develop a workflow that will notifiy a specific group when topics have no replies after a certain time. In the community startup, it is important that we get to these questions fast to ensure customers keep coming back. However, the API does not seem to allow us to selectively return questions based on a criteria - or at least, its not documented. Is there a generic syntax to the API that will allow us to select questions based on criteria input? Here is the comment from our developer - it seems like there is no choice but to get ALL questions in the community to evaluate which ones to take action on. It seems like I have to always loop through all the questions in the given category – the result of questions is listed in last activity time descending. If new question is created or old question gets replied, the sequence will be changed, so it would be hard to get the pattern. This means the more questions get created, the longer this workflow may have to run.
Hi community.I’d love to know if anyone here is using the Gainsight PX product in their GS digital hub? We’re just getting set up and the embedded widget inside PX is pulling through community content. It’s very cool. However, I can’t seem to find any analytics specific to the community content in this widget i.e. how many users click through to the community, how many users click and read community articles from inside the widget etc. Anyone able to shed some light? @Alistair FIeld may I suggest a group here in this community of customers who are using other products in the GS suite so we can share best practice…? Just an ideaThanks
'Something went wrong please try again later' when trying to save draft / publish article AND category
Hi, In our sandbox I keep getting 'Something went wrong please try again later' when trying to publish an article or when trying to publish new parent or child categories. Anyone else experiencing this?
Hi there - I needed to set up a custom report type in Salesforce to use the Insided data, but now all I see when trying to reporting on Community Member Activities is “Visited Community”. No topics, posts, comments, etc. Did I set something up wrong? How do you have your reporting set up for it to work properly? On the backend in the custom report type I have Accounts → Contacts → Community Member Activities. Thank you in advanced!
