Convert discussion to article, bulk?
We have roughly 1000 discussions what should be converted to the article. One by one, it is next to impossible task so is there any workaround to do this easily? They are in certain child categories.Edit: I cant edit the title, I mean how to do this like a batch process.
Related topics widget, why it uses redirects?
We noticed that Related topics widget and the links there uses redirects: For example the first link points here:And after that user is forwarded to the final url:https://community.insided.com/got-a-question-38/adding-a-create-a-topic-post-button-lower-down-on-the-screen-5313Why is that? This isnt SEO critical issue though but it slows a bit the browser / user.
Analytics: User & category / topic level data?
I havent found anything related with these but just to make sure:There are situations when I have to knowHow many registered user have visited certain child category + how many times + their nicknames How many registered user have posted to the certain child category + how many times + their nicknames Additionally: How many likes they have given and received there + their nicknamesIs there way to find these out? These datas are basic data in Khoros, hopefully with inSided as well.
one year user stats to share
We are about to celebrate our one-year anniversary as a community. I am trying to create some user stats to share and tag some of our top users. I am running into the issue that many of the top things I can filter by currently are the same person (highest points, the highest number of replies, highest number solved, and most badges.)Does anyone have other ideas we could use?
Insided Accessibility Compliance
Where can I get information on what accessibility features come with Insided out-of-the-box? I’ve discussed this with a previous CSM and recall that Insided offers a lot of standard accessibility features and compliance with generally accepted web standards. But a google search and InSpired search has come up empty on specifics.
Can featured topics auto-fill the width?
Is there some CSS we can use that would make featured topics automatically fill the width of the container (probably up to 4, max). This would help us have the one widget and whether there are 2, 3, or 4 featured topics they’ll always show up properly without leaving gaps on the right side.To be clear, something like this happening automatically:Side note: this would be great for banners and quick links too. Overall, more flexibility in how all the widgets appear in terms of how many there are side by side. It would help break up monotony of there always being the same layouts :) Thanks!
Views on Articles & Product Updates
Hey community! Does anyone know if it’s possible to see views for articles and product updates? Views isn’t an option when I try to add it from the Column or Filter. I made a change to a weekly article and would like to see the impact, if the new posts are getting more views than the previous ones were. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
How to see or be notified when a user achieves a new rank
Our team is needing to find an easy way to be notified when a user reaches a new rank. We are wanting to send them swag. But we have not found an easy way to do this. We can create a report of the users that are in that rank - but it does not show us “when” they were assigned that rank. Any ideas/suggestions?
Is there any way to search Moderator Tags on the front end?
The answer to this is probably no based on this: Moderator Tags are private: only moderators can add them to topics, and they’re never exposed to your community members. I don’t need my community to see the moderator tags, but I’m wondering if there’s a search parameter that can be used on the front end to serve up content from that moderator tag.
Show definition to words / hover dictionary
HiMy Community is for Sales People - they have a lot of jargon they use, but I’m aware that some of my Community members will be new to the industry. I’d love to be able to have optional definitions available for certain words, so that I can use my audience’s language without alienating newbies. What I’m picturing is being able to set that users can hover over specific words and see the definition in a little modal. Similar to how on some websites there might be a ? next to a field which if you hover over it explains the field. Can anyone confirm if this is possible? Thanks :)
How to share unanswered questions in a particular forum?
This feels like a super simple request, but it’s not. There’s no real way to do this right?I need to go and sort on the backend by number of replies and then add a public tag. Then I can click on that tag and send the list over. I have an idea out there to add bulk tags, which would help here. And I think there’s an idea to add the option of sorting by LEAST replies from the front end drop down. But is there an easier way to do this, that I’m not seeing? Anyone have a work around besides manually adding a tag to each question not responded to?
Syncing vote count from inSided Ideas to Productboard Features
Hey there inSided community, happy new year! Our product team is looking to synchronize vote counts of specific ideas to features in Productboard. This would help us prioritize and understand the relevance of certain features in Productboard. Has anyone successfully done this via APIs? The ability to create Productboard notes from community posts is helpful, but doesn’t capture the entire use case for many who are leveraging inSided + Productboard today. What we really need is a way to connect entire idea threads from inSided to a single feature card in Productboard, including the number of votes (and keep it updated on a daily basis). @Scott Baldwin, do you know anyone who has built this functionality custom via APIs? Reduce quote 'depth'
We have a first world problem on out community. A lot of replies are unreadable beacause users don't always understand how to use the quote function. So things get really messy...This is what we see: <message> <message> <message> <message> <message>This is what we want: <message> <message> Is there anything we can do to make it so only one level (the last one) is copied to the WYSIWYG editor/reply box (or any other fancy name for that box 😋)?
Two banner widgets 50% width for each one?
I feel like this shouldn’t be too tricky but I can’t seem to crack it. We’d like to use the banner widget, with title on top and image on bottom, but have two of them side-by-side. So two banners, each taking up 50% of the width.I’m comfortable using an HTML widget and some CSS, but I can’t seem to figure out the CSS to achieve this. Would appreciate any help!Ideally, this would be responsive as well, but I can tinker with that part if need be.
Category visibility "off", mods still can see the category content in Control?
This is minor issue but is it true, that even the category is hidden from the moderators, they still can see the topics in Control? There is no way to hidden topics from the Control as well?I am asking this because I am testing different things and I dont want to confuse moderators with silly topics 😀
