Riina submitted on our ideation board the idea to empower superusers to be able to mark best answers to questions. Having the best answer marked improves the user experience for users who are looking for an answer, since the marked answer will show on top of the list of answers. Motivating users who asked a question to mark answers seems challenging. Most of them did not mark it, which lead to many questions not having a marked answer or the moderator had to step in and mark the answer. Now “Super-User” is a primary role, we were able to provide them with the right to mark best answers. We are confident this will results in more questions have a marked answer. This feature will be available for all branded templates from Friday August 10 onwards. You will not be able to disable this feature. If you don't want your super-users to be able to mark answers, we suggest to not use the 'Superuser' primary r

Hi All,Currently we are working on creating webhooks for the community and we are looking for pilot customers who can help us with defining the use cases and later implementing integrations with it.For those of you who does not know what a webhook is:A webhook is basically a tool that pushes community information to outside servers and applications. This is triggered by events that are defined by you. Whenever that trigger event occurs on the community, the webhook sees the event, collects the data, and sends it to the endpoint specified by you.You can use webhooks: to simply get to know that an event has taken place to ensure that data is in-sync across multiple web applications to connect the community with other applications where an event in community would trigger an event in the applicationFor example: set up a webhook to send a user a discount code when they gain a particular badge set up a webhook to create a ticket at your helpdesk tool when a user posts a questionIs this a t

Hi everyone, Due to a possible security issue related to GIF's upload, we have to disable this functionality temporarily, for about two weeks from today. This is a measure we need to take to make sure that the security vulnerability is fully tested and resolved. How this will affect your community?

In this period, it is not possible to upload any GIF's in topics, comment as well as rank or profile pictures. This also means you cannot add any new GIF's when editing a post.
All the old GIF's that are already posted will be working.
We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience. Hi all, as promised in our previous article from last week, we have a number of interviews from the inSpired event which we still want to share with you! :) Our interviewees from this week are some real experts in Community Management. Hence it will be worth taking your time to hear how they see their job evolving. So without further ado, let's have a look at what they have to say! Tim - Moderator @ OVO Community timcavey tells a really nice story about how communities are helping people, and how he as a Moderator is actively supporting users to get help when they really need it. Hi all! Just before the week is about to end, I wanted to share something cool with you! So take your time and have a look, I am confident that there is something interesting to be found for every one of you... I still remember very well that, when I was about to start as a Community Manager (waaay before the inSpired Community even existed), I found myself asking "how do other Community Managers look at their job"? What is important to them and what are their challenges? What do they regard as a real success, and am I successful in what I am doing? This is also why (in my opinion) get-togethers like our inSpired Event are very important in order to catch up with other like-minded people. They probably have had the same worries or challenges that you are having right now, and might be able to share their idea or story how they overcame some of their biggest obstacles. Furthermore, it is also the best chance to help the new, aspiring Community Manager / Moderator not to make t

We are improving our communities by squashing bugs, improving functionality and releasing new features every day. This way we can always ensure the latest and highest code quality standards and minimize the risk of breaking something when releasing. The inSpired community is the official channel where we announce what is new and what has been changed or improved. You can find all updates in the 'News & Updates' category. We've been doing this for several months now and would like to take a moment to evaluate our release process. We'd love to hear your feedback on how we release:

What do you like about the way we release?
What would you like to see different in the way we release?
How do you feel about the updates and the how-to documentation that we provide in this community?
Let us know in the comments below
Hi everyone, You might have noticed a decrease in the number of members shown on your community homepage. We have made a change in the statistics widget; it only includes registered members now, and not banned users or users in the waiting for email confirmation stage. The statistics widget on our community home pages used to show the total number of users. But for many communities there are thousands and thousands of fake accounts stuck on the 'waiting for email confirmation' or banned spammer accounts. Therefore, these community statistics could have been misleading. This was implemented based on multiple client's feedback.
