Need to handle multiple currencies

There does not seem to be a way for Gainsight dashboard views (or reports) to handle multiple currencies. For example, we have an ASF field that is displayed. In Salesforce, that field can be $, pounds, or Euros. Gainsight only allows one currency symbol, so 100 Euros shows as $100. We are working around this using a converted $ field, but it seems that Gainsight should display the appropriate currency symbol from Salesforce.

Thanks for the feedback. Right now reporting doesn't support multiple currencies. We will add this as a roadmap item for reporting. However, once implemented, please note that the multiple currencies will be applicable only for flat reports/tables.

I have another customer ProjectPlace looking for this as well.  In addition to the reports, the ACV on the header of the Customer tab does not roll up correctly.  Looking for a targeted release date.

Lisa, there is a work-around available to get the correct ACV, if you are loading this value through the rules engine.

Let's say you have an ACV field on the Account record, and you are pushing its value to the ACV field on Customer Info. If you simply drag this field into the "Show" area of the rule, EUR 400 would get pulled in and displayed as USD 400 in Gainsight. However, if you also apply a SUM aggregation on this field, rules engine would pull in the correctly converted dollar value (USD 446.72). This of course is assuming multi-currency is turned on in SFDC and dollars is set as the org currency.
My company has offices in US and in Europe. It would be much better for us if our European employees viewed financials in Euros in Gainsight and our US team viewed financials as dollars. We made the decision when we implemented GS to display currency in Euros which requires our US team to keep their calculators handy for real time currency conversion. This is hard to sell when training new GS users.
SImilar to above we need to offer our users the ability to look at contract values in different currencies as we have sales offices in the Americas, Europe and the Far East. Our currency of choice at the moment is GBP but the ability to switch to USD, EUR or other currrencies would be useful
We have offices in many countries and therefore are using the multi-currencies in SFDC on the opportunities, licenses and projects. Ideally when reporting in Gainsight, we need to be able to pull the converted amounts into the reports so that everything is converted to USD.
Hey Ashley,

This functionality has already been implemented in the product. For flat reports, reporting will honour the record level currency. For aggregated reports, reporting will honour your org level currency.

Thanks!

Hello Everyone!

Super Exciting News!!! Gainsight now supports Multi-Currency feature for new NXT customers. New NXT customers who onboard Gainsight NXT after the V6.10 Release, can enable the Multi-Currency feature to support multiple currencies across Gainsight. When Admins enable the Multi-Currency feature, various related changes are visible across Gainsight functionalities.

For existing customers who are using single-currency support, we're developing a migration framework to upgrade you to Multi-Currency. We will upgrade customers in batches over the next few months. If you have any questions, please contact your Gainsight Client Outcomes Manager (COM).

Happy Posting.
