When I need to communicate the status of a topic to my fellow moderator buddies on inSpired, I use Moderation Labels. For example, I use an ''Open'' label to let others know that a topic still needs their loving attention. In Control you can customise these labels to suit your moderation team’s unique needs. And if your needs change, you can change these labels at any time - don’t sweat it!

How To Setup Moderation Labels in Control

  1. Go to Control SettingsModeration labels.
  2. From here, you can add, edit, or delete a moderation label:
  3. To add a label, click Add label and provide a name in the input field.
  4. To edit a label, click any input field and provide a new name.
  5. To delete a label, click the X button next to the input field.
  6. Hit Save changes, and you’re done. Your updated labels are now visible in the topic moderation pages.

Warning:

  • Be very careful when deleting moderation labels. If you successfully delete a moderation label it will be purged from all topics containing it. Next to that you can’t assign it to a topic and you can’t filter on it anymore.
  • There is no warning message when you click the delete button; the label will be instantly removed from the view. Click Cancel to undo the delete action and restore the previous.

Regular community members can’t see Moderation Labels - they’re only visible to moderators.
