Does anyone know how to remove the Title completely from Search Banner?

We have decided to use the Hero Image Itself as the title on the homepage. When I try and delete the Title completely when editing, it keeps defaulting back to a title I had put in when I had set up a trial account. So for now I just input a period but it still looks funky. If I can’t leave the title area blank would someone be able to direct me to the edit area in the platform where I can change the color of the title so it will at least appear invisible? Thank you!

Search broken for one member

Hi folks! I’m hoping someone can shed some light on something odd. We’ve had a member get in touch with us because when they search our Community, the search returns 0 results, no matter what they search. I’ve tested it repeatedly myself and can’t find any issue. I’d think it was user error, but they sent a screenshot showing the search box and url - both are correct. Could it be some kind of blocker in the browser?

Is it possible to change the author of a topic?

In our community some of the first topics are written by a person no longer working with the community. I wish to change the author from her to me as I am now the person our members are interacting with and I would like them to see my face on the introduction threads and similar topics. Is this possible? How do I fix it? Thanks, Mette

I banned 50 users in July. Is there something more I can be doing?

Hey All - Would love some advice. We are a public community - meaning anyone can join and participate in our main forum. Last month (July), I had 50 accounts join the community that were spam. Those 50 accounts were able to post 16 replies/topics that were spam. I know there’s some risk in having a public community, but what should I check here? Are there some additional steps I should make sure we’re doing to catch these - to stop from joining or catch the posts? Several made it past the spam filter even though they included spam links. Spam prevention is enabled. I mark topics/replies as spam in the mod console.

If I invite a customer to join my community using System Emails and their invite expires, would someone be able to let me know what they’ll see or be taken to if they click on that link after it’s expired?

Notifications in ADDITION to Email Notifications

Are there any notifications we can enable in ADDITION to email notifications? For example, a red number over my profile picture indicating someone has mentioned myself in a post, or someone has replied to a post. Or even some sort of browser pop-up notification? Thank you for the help!

HTML Widget - Twitter embed

Hello, I had embed the Twitter feed of our company and it suddenly disappeared this morning. I'm trying to integrate it again but it's impossible to do so. I've checked all the HTML code and it's written correctly. I would like to know if this is a problem with INSIDED or if it is our platform that has a problem. Thank you

Formatting through API does not populate

I’m using the POST /productUpdates/create endpoint to create a product update and publishing it through the POST /productUpdates/{id}/publish endpoint. When I include a new line (\n) in the POST /productUpdates/create content field, I noticed that this formatting is missing when the post is published. Here’s an example of content field that I’m sending through the API: "- Example of item 1 \n - Example of item 2 \n - Example of item 3" I have also tried “\r\n” as well and same result.This is what I’m seeing after it has been published. Is it possible to format new lines when sending the content body to the API? Can each of those “-” be formatted as a bullet point as well through the API?

Hi there! It looks like badge awarded notification emails are plain text. For consistency, I’d prefer to style them the way you can for other alerts under Email > System Emails. Is there a way to do so?

Hi!Is it possible to hide sidebar content (e.g. leaderboard and badges) from non-logged in users (guest)? I couldn’t find any “Permissions” option for these. I’d want that the sidebar content is visible only for logged-in users.

Ways to host internal knowledge base

Hi there! We are using Insided heavily to host our product Knowledge Base, as well as creating the community around this to encourage self-serve.Our support team has an internal knowledge base on Notion, but we want to migrate this to an internal, hidden section within Insided… however we have hit some roadblocks and wonder how others have managed this.We have experimented with a few different approaches, none of which have a perfect outcome:Hidden Community section → it’s not possible to manage Parent Category visibility settings by user role, but we discovered that if all child categories of a Parent Category are invisible to you, then you won’t see the Parent Category (we found the visibility here a little inconsistent - it’s not clear if tihs is intentional or a happy accident). The major problem with this approach is that even if you can’t see the category, the category option appears in other Community sections when creating a Question (so customers would see an option to post it

Has anyone else migrated from a different platform?

We recently migrated our online community from Discourse to InSided and have hit a couple issues related to discrepancies in metrics, SEO, broken links, incorrect link re-directs etc. I was curious if anyone else has experienced a similar migration and wanted to share their experience/any troubleshooting tips? I’m in touch with my CSM and the Support team but it has been a relatively slow process (close to 3 weeks since I first voiced these concerns). Can anyone else relate?

How can wee keep the community public but disable registrations?

Hey, I would like to promote our community more widely + build links for SEO but I can't seem to find a way to keep the community public while disabling public registrations.In fact, we want only our users to access the community and they can do so via SSO. We don't want to allow anyone to register without passing by the SSO but we still want to keep the visibility of the community + the Q&As so they can be searchable on Google. Any idea?Thanks!

Can you replace inSided's search with a third-party search provider? (Coveo)

Hi there inSided community! We’re currently evaluating using Coveo as our federated search provider and hope to use Coveo to power the search in our customer help center powered by Zendesk (help.docebo.com) Obviously, we’d love for our customers to have the same search experience and to have the ability to discover the same content regardless of which self-service resource they’re using (our community, our help center, our university, etc.) I’m curious, has anyone here successfully replaced inSided’s search functionality with a third-party tool? Can anyone share best practices here for using Coveo within inSided?

Hi all!In our user base, it’s not uncommon for people to change domains, or companies and want to retain their history, etc.We used to be able to edit the OpenID string, but that no longer seems to work.Any ideas on how I can merge the old Id into the new one?
