Hi everyone,
We are launching our community in these days and of course statistics are still not so significant so we would like to hide the widget, but it seems not possible hiding/deactivating it from the sidebar.
Am I doing something wrong or is it not possible to hide the Sidebar Community statistics?

You should easily be able to either hide the widget or remove the widget completely from the sidebar.
There are three different kinds of sidebar on the community:
The Homepage sidebar can be edited by → logging in as Admin or Community Manager → go to Homepage in Frontend → click on “Customize” (bottom right) → when the customizing mode has loaded, go to the widget and remove it → click “Publish”.
The other two sidebars can be configured in the Control Panel → logging in as Admin (or any users with permissions to customize) → “Customization” → “Sidebar” → you’ll find both sidebars at the right side, where you can remove the widget → Click “Save changes” (top right)
If you ever had a profile with us, there's no need to create another one.
