Looking for a way to embed a Table of Contents on a longer page to allow users to skip to a desired section on the page. Is there a way to embed HTML to do this?

I am not sure if there is a way to achieve something like this via custom code, however I doubt that it is possible (or worth the work).
Tip: As a workaround (not sure of the context) you might could look into breaking up an extremely long post into several comments. Each comment has an individual url, which you could link to then.
I’d recommend to vote and subscribe/comment on this idea, which covers exactly what you’d like to do. I also would love to see something like this, so hopefully the product team will take this with some time in the future!
In additiion to Julian’s comment, you could also look into using the spoiler function. The several parts won’t have an own URL but initially users would only see your headlines and could then open a spoiler of the part(s) they are interested in reading.
