In this article, you can learn how to promote events on your homepage to help your customers discover relevant events on your community, and to increase signups.

There are two main ways to promote events on your homepage: you can add a special event calendar widget to your homepage, and also feature events in other homepage widgets.

Promote your events with the event calendar widgets

The event calendar widget shows the closest upcoming events. An upcoming event is defined as one that is not yet in the past (once the the event end date/time passes, the event is considered to be a ‘past event’). Once an event is in the past, it is automatically removed from this widget. This widget also includes a link to the event overview on the community, where end users can see a list of all upcoming and past events.

You can add a full-width event calendar widget to your community homepage, or add it to the sidebar.

How to set up the event calendar full-width widget

  1. Go to your community homepage and enable customization mode
  2. Press the + button and choose ‘Events calendar’.
  3. Choose a title for the widget and the amount of events to display.
  4. Press Done and then press Publish - your events calendar will now be visible on the homepage!
