Email campaigns, variables, and HTML

Hi folks.I’m wondering if there is any way to add a URL to an automated email that includes a unique link for that user. Maybe insert the user ID in there, like myURL/page?userid=[userId]. That sort of thing.I’m aware of the inSidedData object, but I suspect that won’t work in an email. So would the way be to link to a custom page on the community and do a redirect from there?Basically, I’d like to have a call to action in the email, that sends a notification to our support team, and obviously they need to know who the notification came from.Any thoughts or suggestions welcomed,CheersMark

Adjust Number of Quick Links in the row

When deploying the Quicklinks widget, the number of links per row is three by default.Default number of three Quicklinks per row While the number of links per row cannot be changed in the widget, you can adjust it with Custom CSS. Add the CSS code shown below. We’ve loaded a font-face script to define a custom font name and address, and we’re using that in our front end font selector. It work’s a treat. How can we use that custom font in system emails?

Remove bar under user names?

Hi - I was curious if there is a way to remove the little bar that shows up below people’s names? This little guy screenshotted below. We don’t use ranks or point system, but is there anything else I can do to remove this? It doesn’t provide any functionality for us.

Logo in the navigation bar

I just notice that here in Gainsight Digital Hub logo is on the top row, next to hamburger menu. Also it is in the top row when viewing mobile. In our community logo is much lower. How this is done here in the Digital Hub?I am asking this because of this Custom mod:

Must be logged in to see Twitter feed

We have the Twitter HTML widget on our community home page. However, users can only see the twitter feed if they are logged into their twitter account. If a user is not logged into Twitter, they see a “Nothing to see here - yet” message instead of our latest Twitter post.Is there a way to show our Twitter feed to users even if they are not logged into their Twitter account?

Default Newest Comment First

When did the default comment order change? Previously it was the oldest first, but now the newest is showing first on the control end. Is there a site option that allows this to be reverted back?

Page pulling info from our app

Hi! I want to create a new page (similar to ‘idea’, or ‘product update’ page) that pulls information from our app. What I envision is a sort of news feed that pulls updates from our app - to be displayed for our community. Is this possible? I see I can create HTML widget but is there anyway to do an API or webhook from our app to the community? Any tips or tricks would be greatly appreciated!!

Phrase: This member can only receive messages from members they are following.

Hi all, I want to change the text for “This member can only receive messages from members they are following.”. I tried “Forum - This member can only receive messages from members they are following.” but this did not work.Any role that has permission to edit phrases on the community is also allowed to send messages to any user, no matter their settings. So I have to add it via control.

Is it possible to adjust the color of the leaderboard icons?

My use case is that the bronze doesn’t look bronze to me (and we use a truer bronze for other monthly leaderboard badges).But I imagine others might want to adjust to brand colors or something like that.

Hot to add a Subscribe button to Categories

So when I look at the landing page for this category (ie here), I see a subscribe button. I’m just setting up our community and can’t seem to find that ability. You can’t customize the page and I don’t see any setting in the back end to turn it on.I guess the basic question is, how do I allow our users to subscribe to a category?

Email campaign customize theme - trying to place logo

I am trying to customize theme within email campaigns but have a had time. I’d like to add my logo, but not sure where the HTML code goes. In the past, we had examples with text placeholders in the HTML - this really helped a lot (see screenshot below)Would love to see someone's HTML code in PM if you would rather not share publicly, so I get a sense of where everything goes.

How to backup control settings and content?

Hello,Is there a way to backup all settings and content set in Control?It would be great if there was a file(s) that could be exported from control to backup all settings and content in there. This would be to allow version control and always having a backup to reload should any inadvertent changes be made to any customised setting, script or content.Possibly something that should be posted as an idea?My current plan is to capture everything manually.Looking forward to hearing any suggestions or solutions for this.Thanks!
